Bristol Republican Campaign Headquarters Opening

Members of the Bristol Republican Town Committee, elected officials, candidates and many supporters of all political backgrounds turned out for a great event. Bristol Police stopped by to meet Linda McMahon and the rest of the candidates, and also to help guide traffic around the large crowd in attendance. Bristol Republican Headquarters at 255 North Main Street are now open and can be accessed throughout the week. Stop on by and volunteer! Take a look at three of your Republican candidates (Jason Welch, Jill Fitzgerald, and Whit Betts) as they sign the Common Sense Commitment for Connecticut!


2010 United Way Day of Caring

Members of the Bristol Republican Town Committee will be at the 2010 United Way Day of Caring, including candidate Jason Welch among many others! Come out and join us as we all lend a hand in this very special occasion. We will be painting, cleaning, organizing and taking on other tasks as need be. It should be a great time and is for a great cause!

2010 Bristol Republican Lincoln Day Dinner

The Bristol Republican Town Committee's annual Lincoln Day Dinner was an all-time best this year, with over 120 guests and the following leaders campaigning for office:

  • US Senate Candidates:
Peter Schiff, Economist, Author, Financial Expert
Linda McMahon, CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment
Rob Simmons, former CT US Representative, CT Business Advocate

  • CT Governor Candidates:
Oz Griebel, President and CEO of the MetroHartford Alliance
Tom Foley, former Director of Private Sector Development for the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq and US Ambassador to Ireland.
Mike Fedele, Lt. Governor (Gov. Jodi Rell Administration)
Mark Boughton, Mayor of Danbury

  • CT Senate Candidate:
Jason Welch, Attorney

  • CT Secretary of State Candidate:
Jerry Farrell Jr., CT Commissioner of Consumer Protection

The event also honored newly-elected officials Stacey Raymond (Board of Assessment Appeals), Dave Mills (City Council), Ken Cockayne (City Council), and Rose Parenti (City Treasurer). Sharon Krawiecki (Republican Registrar of Voters), and candidates Mary Alford (Mayor), Richard Scarola (City Council), Mike Rimcoski (City Council), Eldianne Bishop (City Council), Derek Czenczelewski (City Council), and Bob Casar (Board of Assessment Appeals) were also honored for their campaigns. Thanks to all who made this a very special night and good luck to our candidates in 2010 and beyond!



2010 Bristol Home Show

The Bristol Republican Town Committee was at the 2010 Bristol Home Show and met numerous interested citizens of Bristol and the surrounding area. The booth was setup as a way to inform the public of how they can get involved, when and where our meetings are and as a way to introduce ourselves to the community. It was a tremendous success!



2009 Bristol Library Children's Winter Scene

The Bristol Republican Town Committee sponsored the 2009 Bristol Library Children's Winter Scene, which allowed children the opportunity to name specific winter scenes from books at the library with the child who selected the most correct scenes being the winner. This year's 1st Prize Winner Zachary Foley, received a $25 Gift Certificate to Borders Books from the Bristol Republican Town Committee. 2nd Prize went to Julie Swicklas, who received a $15 Gift Certificate to Borders Books, and 3rd Prize went to Guilianna DeFilippis, who received a $10 Gift Certificate to Borders Books. Congratulations to all who participated!


2009 Bristol Community Organization Annual Coat Drive

The Bristol Republican Town Committee took part in the Annual Coat Drive for the Bristol Community Organization. Sharon Krawiecki led the BRTC effort, gathering over 40 coats for the drive. Thank you to all who donated your lightly-used, or new coats. They went to very deserving families and individuals over the course of this very cold winter season!
